‘ನೆಲೆ’ ಅನ್ನುವ ಅನಾಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಕಿರುಕುಳದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಅವರು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ಜಾಗ್ರತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವೊಂದನ್ನು 25 Oct 2014 ರಂದು ಜನದನಿಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಅಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಜನದನಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರು: ಸರಳಾ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್, ಸಿಂಧು ರಾವ್, ಮಂಜುಳಾ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಪತಿ, ಜಯಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ವಿದ್ಯಾಶಂಕರ್ ಹರಪನಹಳ್ಳಿ, ರಂಗನಾಥ್ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಗಾರ್ಜುನ.
An awareness program about sexual harassment was for children, mainly for girls, was organised on 25 October 2014, at Nele, an orphanage in Bangalore. The children were educated about the importance self-defense and to develop awareness of potential threats.
Janadani members who took part in the program were, Sarala Prakash, Sindhu Rao, Manjula Lakshmipathy, Jayalaxmi Patil , Vidyashankar Harappanahalli, Ranganath Ramachandra and Nagarjun participated.
