ದಿನಾಂಕ 07-09-2014ರಂದು, ಭಾನುವಾರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 9 ರಿಂದ ಸಂಜೆ 6 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಜನದನಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೋವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾನೂನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು “ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ಮತ್ತು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರ”ದ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು, ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕು, ಮತ್ತು ಈ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಯಾವ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಪರಿಣಿತರು ಜನದನಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರದ ನಂತರ ವಿಚಾರ ವಿನಿಮಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಸ್ತವದನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಯೋಜನೆ ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಜನದನಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮುಂದೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜದ ವಿವಿಧ ಸ್ತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನಂಶ ಶಾಲಾವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪೋಷಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೊಳೆಗೇರಿ (“ಸ್ಲಮ್”ನಂಥ ಜಾಗ) ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಅನಾಥ ಆಶ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಿಶ್ಚಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಅಂದು ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನವರು ಬಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.

A one-day workshop was conducted by Janadani for its members on 7th Sep 2014.
The workshop imparted important and useful information about the psychological, medical, and legal aspects of rape, and how to handle such incidents, to the members of Janadani.
Following the workshop, Janadani prepared an action plan to organize awareness campaigns in the society and in particular to the parents of pre and primary school children, high school and college students, to the people in slums and to the children in orphanages.
Janadani hopes to remove the stigma, misinformation, and ignorance by carrying out such campaigns. Janadani wishes to empower people with the right knowledge to handle incidents of rape and also do everything possible to prevent the heinous crime.18 members participated in the workshop.
